If you’re thinking of giving someone you love a gift basket to mark a special occasion, there are certainly plenty to choose from.
From a luxury gift basket packed with delectable goodies, to a champagne gift basket and perhaps even a basket packed with different types of beer for a man in the family, you’re certainly spoilt for choice.
But sometimes you want to give a little more and create something that is altogether unique. To achieve this you’ll need to think about adding some additional items to the ones that are already included within the basket.
The vast majority of gift basket providers are more than happy to add extra items to any kind of basket, and can usually advise you on what items are available in the stock that they hold. Indeed many providers specialise in creating one off baskets for every single customer. In this case you will usually be presented with a comprehensive list of items from which you can select the ones you want to fill your basket.
Furthermore you will often find that if you have a specific item that you’d like to include, they will be able to get hold of it for you, or at least suggest a similar alternative. You will of course have to pay a supplement for each extra item you add, but this is a small price to pay to get exactly the right basket.
The best route to getting the exact basket you want is to start with the most ideal choice from the ones available. Once you have that to use as a base with the majority of goodies already in it, think about what the recipient loves that isn’t included within the basket already.
How about a bottle of wine? Perhaps some champagne would fit the occasion better? Or maybe your recipient is a lover of cheese and would appreciate a selection of fine cheeses to go with the crackers and olives that are already in the basket?
It’s a wonderful idea as well to try and select some more luxurious products, instead of something they are already used to. A lover of biscuits might have the more familiar brands every day of the week, but imagine the look on their face when they receive a gift basket packed to the brim with luxury double chocolate chip Belgian cookies, and other delectable treats.
It’s just this kind of extra touch which makes a gift basket that bit more special. Adding extra items which are favourites of the recipient to a standard basket will make it obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the gift.
What’s more, it also guarantees your gift basket will be very happily received, whatever the occasion.
